The Mitis Distillery specializes in the production of fine spirits proudly inspired by its region: La Mitis. Sugar cane based spirits are our specialty.

At the entrance to the Gaspé Peninsula and less than 5 minutes from the beach, the distillery is a must stop during your vacation. Our boutique is open year round to offer you personalized products, our spirits and a selection of tonics! Free tastings and guided tours of our facilities and winery are available to our visitors, depending on the season.

Our spirits
During your visit, you will be able to purchase the Mugo Gin, a collaboration with Les Jardins de Métis. Classified with a Double Gold Medal at the World Wine and Spirits Competition in 2019 at the opening of the distillery as well as a Gold Medal at the Artisan spirits Canada with a mention to the terroir, the Mugo Gin is worth a visit! You will also find the Rhum Nordique, ranked silver in 2021 at the World Wine and Spirits Competition. This rum is fermented and aged on site. Some of the distillery's exclusive spirits are also available depending on the time of year!

The project
The project started in 2016 from a shared passion for spirits, a dream of creativity and the desire to participate in the development of our region. As entrepreneurs, we value the creation of quality and distinctive Quebec spirits.
We selected the location of our distillery for one major reason: water, an essential resource for the production of our products. The water from the Mitis River provides us with the desired characteristics for fermentation and gives us a product that meets the standards of the flourishing fine spirits industry.

The process
In order to create products according to our values and quality standards, we develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations specialized in their field. We carefully select our ingredients to make our products unique, even atypical.
